Existing Throttle Body Injectors (TBI) utilize a butterfly air control valve that discourages fuel/air mixing. The pintle-regulated Venturi, with fuel injection right at the low-pressure throat, integrates the throttle with a Venturi mixer. The improved design results in effective fuel/air mixing at all throttle settings due to the high velocity and reduced pressure at the mixing point. The result is improved fuel economy at all throttle postitions.
